BALGA – Baldock Allotment and Leisure Gardeners Association – was formed in 1975 to provide a membership association for allotment tenants and to help manage two allotment sites in the market town of Baldock in Hertfordshire. Since 1 April 2016 we have self managed our allotment sites on behalf of North Herts District Council.
Membership of the association is open to all and not restricted to allotment tenants only.
Annual membership costs just £6 and benefits include:

- Annual flower and vegetable show with Baldock Horticultural Society
- Discounted seed scheme via Kings Seeds and the National Allotment Association
- Supplies of horse manure and brown-bin compost at only 50p per barrow-load
